Last week, the graduating members of the SJP Fishing Club were invited on the first charter of the season with Captain Judd of CJ's Charters. The plan was simple: catch mackerel for bait; rig on circle hooks; catch striped bass; tag fish; and release. The plan pretty much went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time. We tagged and released our first 4 striped bass of the 2010 season.
The SJP Fishing club is one of the largest student clubs on campus. The club consists of a broad spectrum of anglers from fly fishing purists to tuna hunters. The club holds regular meetings, sponsors trips, and goes fishing whenever possible.
